Unlike standard, off-the-shelf furniture, our made-to-order rise and recline chairs are carefully crafted around your personal needs and preferences. From the size and style of your chair to your choice of beautiful fabrics, cushioning, reclining functions and additional features, there are hundreds of possible combinations.

As each chair can be tailored to your individual requirements, prices vary depending on the specification you choose.

What is the Hartwell Express Collection?

A carefully selected range of rise and recline chairs in popular sizes and upholstery finishes, which you can order online and receive sooner than our made-to-order chairs.

How quickly can my chair be delivered?

Accepted Answer

Our proposed estimates are 3–5 working days for boxed delivery and 10–14 working days for Home Delivery & Setup. These are not guaranteed and depend on stock, your postcode and confirmation of your order.

Question 4

What is the difference between boxed delivery and home setup?

Accepted Answer

Boxed delivery brings your chair to your address in its original packaging; you may need to move, assemble and position it yourself. Home Delivery & Setup includes positioning in your chosen room, assembly where required and a basic operating demonstration, subject to safe access.

Can I choose my delivery date?

You can request a preferred date from the available dates. Requests are confirmed by our team once stock and delivery capacity are checked.

Will my chair require assembly?

With boxed delivery, some assembly or setup may be required. With Home Delivery & Setup, assembly is included where required.

Can I choose a different fabric or colour?

Each Express chair offers a limited choice of supplier-confirmed finishes. For a wider choice of upholstery, explore our made-to-order collection.

How do I know which chair size is right for me?

Compare your measurements with the chair’s seat height, width and depth shown on each product page. Our advisors can also help, and home assessments are available.

Can I purchase with VAT relief if eligible?
